Notes

  • The Peavey T-40 was one of the brand's first bass designs ever, and popular for its affordability and construction. Although the T-40 is heavy, it's built like a tank and can consequently take a beating. The T-40 bass sports two Toaster-style pickups and two switches
  • You can use the tone pots to change the sound from humbucker to single coil. Sounds very similar to a Jazz bass in single coil mode. In/Out phase switch designed to work only when pickup selector is in middle position. Very versatile bass!! If you aren't familiar with these models, the T-40 and T-60 guitar have a cult following. Designed by Chip Todd, most people consider these to be the finest basses made during the 1980s. Made in Meridian, MS with Ash body and maple neck, first bass models ever routed with a CNC machine. The blade humbuckers first made an appearance in the 82 models, they are much better pickups and have higher output than the toaster pickups. This bass also has a metal nut, not the plastic one used on some models.
  • Excellent condition for a 30+ year old bass
  • Plays and sounds great
