Comprehensive Setup Checklist:

1. Truss Rod Adjustment: Optimize neck relief to suit playing style.
2. Action Adjustment: Set string height for optimal playability and reduced fret buzz.
3. Intonation Calibration: Adjust saddle positions for accurate pitch across the fretboard.
4. Fretboard Conditioning: Clean and hydrate the fretboard with high-quality lemon oil or conditioner.
5. Fret Polish: Smooth all frets to ensure a clean, fast playing surface.
6. Nut Slot Adjustment: File and shape nut slots for optimal string height and tuning stability.
7. Bridge/Tremolo System Setup: Adjust bridge height, saddle radius, and tremolo tension. Specialty bridges, such as Floyd Rose, will require additional balancing and fine-tuning.
8. Pickup Height Adjustment (Electric Guitars): Set pickups to the proper height for balanced output and tone.
9. Electronics Check (Electric Guitars): Test and clean all pots, switches, and jacks for smooth operation and noise reduction.
