  • Serial Number 18057
  • The French Vito were actually made by Beaugnier, a well-regarded sax manufacturer. They mostly made stencil saxes.... which merely means that they would deliver unmarked saxes to the client who would then engrave as desired, or would put any name the client wanted on them.
  • French Vitos and Japanese Vitos made by Yanagisawa are far and away the best Vitos made. Unfortunately, the name Vito in the last 40 - 50 years has gotten associated with the dreaded 'student instrument' designation.
  • If properly set up, will have a luscious and sexy sound and will blow away anything less than a pro level sax. These horns were designed to compete with Selmer's Mark VI, but never really made a dent in that market at all.
  • This sax needs new pads but is in otherwise pristine condition for its age.
