Music Go Round?

A lot of people seem to be confused about what happened to Music Go Round, a used gear store in Orland Park.

Evolution Music is notMusic Go Round. Music Go Round is a separate company altogether. The Orland Park MGR location went into bankruptcy and closed its doors in late 2012.

However:

1. Like MGR, we specialize in buying, selling, and trading used instruments and gear. We buy used gear every day just like the ol’ MGR. Evolution is the same type of music store (but better!)
2. Tom DeVos, a former employee of MGR, is now Evolution Music’s store manager
3. We purchased a good portion of Music Go Round’s remaining inventory at auction

We differ in that we can offer better percentages when purchasing your used gear and better deals when you’re shopping for used gear! We have lower overhead costs which allow us the flexibility to work with you on prices without putting ourselves out of business like MGR! We also offer a lot more than MGR including music lessons, a recording studio, rehearsal space, repairs, and we organize local shows for bands.
