• Harmony USA made vintage H175 classical guitar in near-mint condition.
• This rare (for Harmony) H175 was made in the first half of 1971. At retail, it sold for close to $1000 in today's money...more than their signature jumbo steel string, the Sovereign H1260.
• Beautiful guitar with real inlaid marquetry around the sound hole, headstock, and bridge. Solid tight-grained spruce top, solid maple back and sides. Tortoise shell binding on both front and back is in perfect shape. Black and cream front binding give it a very classy look.
• Fan braced construction, dovetail neck joint. Fretboard is beautifully straight all the way down to the end, action is nice and low with a little room left on the saddle.
• The finish has almost no wear as shown in the pics. Very minor. The only real blemish is that the plastic heel cap on the neck is missing.
• The bridge and all bracing and joints are tight. The original gold plated tuners are in fantastic shape. Strings are new hard tension uncoated classical nylon strings. The case is in excellent shape as well, but a little faded.
• The maple back and sides on this guitar produce a tone with its own voice. It has beautiful balance, clear and tone, long sustain, sweet harmonics, big volume for a classical, and that aged sound that comes with 48 years, putting this guitar right in it's prime. Very hard to put down...it's a real player!
• In it's build, the H175 was Harmony's top classical ever made in the states.
• The inlaid marquetry is really nice. It also has a vaneered headstock, ebonized maple fingerboard, and mahogony neck. They put their best woods and workmanship into this model.
